This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs all access to and use of the Samoto platform, including all websites, mobile applications, software, APIs, AI systems, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
This AUP forms an integral part of the Samoto Terms of Service (“TOS”). Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the TOS.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
The purpose of this AUP is to:
• Protect Samoto, its users, and its partners
• Preserve system integrity, performance, and fairness
• Prevent abuse, misuse, fraud, and legal exposure
• Enable Samoto to enforce rules decisively and consistently
Any use of the Service that violates this AUP is strictly prohibited.

2. GENERAL USE REQUIREMENTS
You agree to:
• Use the Service lawfully
• Use the Service only for its intended purposes
• Comply with all applicable local, provincial/state, federal, and international laws
• Respect the rights, safety, and experience of other users
You may not use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair Samoto’s systems.

3. PROHIBITED TECHNICAL ABUSE
You may NOT, directly or indirectly:
3.1 Scraping & Automated Access
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or index the Service
• Use bots, scripts, headless browsers, or automation tools
• Circumvent rate limits or access controls
• Extract flyer data, pricing intelligence, or normalized product datasets
3.2 Reverse Engineering
• Reverse engineer any part of the Service
• Attempt to derive pricing algorithms, AI prompts, or system logic
• Analyze outputs to reconstruct proprietary models
3.3 System Interference
• Introduce malware, exploits, or vulnerabilities
• Probe or test system security without authorization
• Attempt denial-of-service (DoS) or performance degradation

4. AI-SPECIFIC PROHIBITED USES
Given Samoto’s use of AI systems, the following are strictly forbidden:
4.1 Prompt Abuse & Manipulation
• Prompt injection attacks
• Attempts to override safeguards or system instructions
• Attempts to access internal prompts, logs, or training data
4.2 AI Misuse
• Generating illegal, harmful, or deceptive content
• Using AI outputs as medical, nutritional, or professional advice
• Attempting to use AI features for activities outside Samoto’s intended scope
4.3 Abuse of Usage Limits
• Attempting to bypass token, usage, or feature limits
• Account cycling to gain additional AI usage
• Sharing accounts to aggregate AI access

5. DATA MISUSE & COMMERCIAL EXPLOITATION
You may NOT:
• Resell, license, or redistribute Samoto data
• Use Samoto data for commercial purposes without written consent
• Train third-party AI or machine learning models using Samoto outputs
• Publish or expose pricing intelligence or datasets as a competing service

6. FRAUD, DECEPTION & MISREPRESENTATION
You may NOT:
• Create fake or duplicate accounts
• Impersonate individuals, businesses, or Samoto staff
• Misrepresent affiliations or endorsements
• Abuse promotions, trials, or subscriptions
• Engage in chargeback fraud

7. CONTENT & BEHAVIOR RESTRICTIONS
You may NOT:
• Upload or transmit unlawful, abusive, or misleading content
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Engage in hate speech or discriminatory conduct
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights

8. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION VIOLATIONS
You may NOT:
• Attempt to access other users’ data
• Collect or store personal data without consent
• Violate privacy laws or Samoto’s Privacy Policy
• Reidentify anonymized or aggregated data

9. ACCOUNT SECURITY & SHARING
You are responsible for all activity on your account.
You may NOT:
• Share accounts unless explicitly permitted
• Sell or transfer account access
• Allow third parties to use your credentials

10. REGULATORY & LEGAL COMPLIANCE
You must comply with:
• Consumer protection laws
• Food safety and labeling laws
• Data protection laws (including PIPEDA, CPRA/CCPA where applicable)
• Export control and sanctions laws

11. ENFORCEMENT & REMEDIES
Samoto reserves the right to take any enforcement action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to:
• Temporary or permanent suspension
• Feature or usage restriction
• Account termination
• Content removal
• Legal action
• Reporting to authorities
• Data access revocation
Enforcement may occur without notice.

12. NO EXPECTATION OF SERVICE CONTINUITY
Samoto may:
• Modify, limit, or discontinue features
• Change usage thresholds
• Introduce new restrictions
You have no right to uninterrupted access.

13. MONITORING & AUDITING
Samoto may:
• Monitor usage patterns
• Analyze activity for abuse
• Log interactions with AI systems
• Investigate suspicious behavior
Monitoring is conducted in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

14. USER REPORTING
Users may report suspected violations to:

Samoto has no obligation to act on every report.

15. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATION
Violation of this AUP may result in:
• Immediate account termination
• Forfeiture of subscription fees
• Legal liability
• Civil or criminal consequences
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent bans.

16. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS AUP
Samoto may update this AUP at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

17. GOVERNING LAW
This AUP is governed by the same governing law provisions as the Samoto Terms of Service.

The French version of these Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy is the governing version for users located in Québec, Canada. Any translation is provided for convenience only.
